Set just off of the main street in the popular town of Chudleigh, surrounded by the Devon countryside. Chudleigh is a small town between Exeter and Newton Abbot, close to the edge of Dartmoor National Park and set in the popular Teign Valley. Dartmoor National Park is best known for it's striking granite tors, steep wooded river valleys and heather covered moorland. Offering a wide selection of recreational opportunities such as walking, cycling, riding and fishing on the River Dart. Many of the region's finest beaches are within easy driving distance. The well regarded Chudleigh Primary School is located in the town along with regular bus services to Newton Abbot and Exeter. For secondary schools you have the popular Teign School in Kingsteignton. Chudleigh offers a wealth of local amenities including shops, a cricket field, a swimming pool, football pitches, allotments, parks, a doctors surgery, a dentist and a library. For larger shops there are supermarkets in Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot and Exeter. The market town of Newton Abbot has a mainline railway station with direct links to London Paddington/Waterloo, along with Exeter St Davids Station. There is also an international airport in Exeter. The A38 (Devon Expressway) which by-passes the town provides good access to Plymouth, Exeter and the M5 Motorway network. And the A380 connects Torbay.
You are welcomed into this beautiful cottage through a timber stable door into the kitchen. The kitchen is modern yet retains the 'traditional country cottage' feel with the exposed wooden beams, tiled floor and Rangemaster 55. There are a good selection of wall and base units with a rolled edge work surface over and tiled spashback surround. With an inset stainless steel sink and drainer with mixer taps over. There is plumbing for both a dishwasher and washing machine. And space for a fridge and freezer. Through into the living room, again in keeping with the country feel, the exposed wooden beams continue through, complimented by a striking inglenook fireplace, a stone and tiled hearth with a rustic wooden set mantle over. There is currently a gas wood burner effect fire set into the inglenook fireplace (this could be replaced with a wood burner if desired.) This room also enjoys three windows, keeping the cottage light. Ideal for storage there is an under stairs cupboard with lighting and shelving. From the living room, stairs lead up to the first floor landing with doors off to the two double bedrooms, both of which enjoy views across the Devon countryside and have access to the loft space. The master bedroom has a hanging rail and shelving, bedroom two has a built in double wardrobe, one half houses the combination boiler. The bathroom is located on the ground floor off of the kitchen, with a modern 3 piece white suite comprising corner bath with shower over and tiled splashback, wash hand basin with mirror, lighting and shaver point and a WC. There are inset spotlights to the ceiling and an obscure double glazed window.
The garden is detached, only a short walk away from the property, accessed via a shared pathway. The garden is predominantly laid to lawn with various shrubs, an apple tree and pear tree. There is a great spot for a vegetable patch, there is also a garden shed, perfect for storage. The garden benefits from a high degree of sun, perfect for a BBQ, table and chairs. There are also views towards Dartmoor, making this a lovely spot to retreat to.
