John is passionate about property and thoroughly enjoys working within the industry hence the opening of Autograph in 2015. John and his team of senior negotiators have successfully developed the business into the thriving company it is today. He is a firm believer in honesty and keeping his word. John carries out the property valuations for both sales and rentals and is exceptionally knowledgeable about the local housing market and the conveyancing process. He ensures the smooth day to day running of the business and will always make himself available to give guidance and assist with any housing questions you may have. John has a keen interest in property renovation and enhancement and carries out projects in his spare time. John has an upbeat and positive approach and makes moving as stress free as he can for his clients.
Joely Smedley, Branch Manager & Photographer
Joely carries out the marketing for all new properties coming to the market for both sales and rentals and is a professional photographer with a real passion for what she does, which is evident by looking at her work. Joely’s attention to detail is remarkable and she is always happy to give guidance on how best to present your home. She has an exceptional level of knowledge about the property market, gained over her 9 years working within the estate agency industry and has been with Autograph since its opening in 2015. Joely will be on hand throughout the transaction for buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants.
Phil Jeffery, Senior Sales Negotiator
Phil carries out most of the viewings for Autograph, allowing him to gain a detailed knowledge of each property. He values clear communication and will spend time carefully matching viewers to the perfect property, following up viewings, and providing prompt and detailed feedback to sellers. Restoring and refurbishing a number of properties has resulted in a practical knowledge of building, enabling Phil to offer guidance and advice when required. Phil believes buying a house should be an enjoyable experience, and Phil’s enthusiasm, personal demeanour, and attention to detail ensures both buyers and sellers are able to relax.
Samantha Conway, Sales Coordinator
Samantha has been working in the property market for 17 years, in that time she has developed an in-depth understanding of the property industry. She has a great deal of experience dealing with all aspects of the sale process, including marketing, negotiations and the conveyancing process. Samantha enjoys the role of sales progressor and follows each transaction closely, liaising with the solicitors, other estate agents within the chain, surveyors and mortgage brokers and her clients directly so that the sale is always progressing and keeping all parties informed. In a complex industry Samantha takes pride in making the experience as simple and stress free as possible for her clients. She is proactive in her approach and also has been praised for the personal interest she takes in her clients needs. Her attention to detail and care is undeniable, and she prides herself on listening and understanding her clients.
Ruth Barber, Senior Sales Negotiator
Ruth has worked in Chudleigh and Newton Abbot as an estate agent for the last 15 years and knows her local market exceptionally well. Ruth has recently joined the team at Autograph and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome her aboard. Ruth is of a happy demeanor which makes her approachable whilst maintaining a professional attitude to the job in hand and nothing is ever to much trouble. Ruth has a keen interest in property and, like her colleagues feels communication is the key to making a client’s journey on buying and selling a better experience. Ruth manages our applicant database and matches all new properties, often very successfully, as she takes time in getting to know peoples wants and needs. Ruth strongly believes that during the buying and selling process, it is vital is to keep it simple with honest communication that everyone can understand and follow.
