2. House of Marbles, Bovey Tracy: If you’re looking for an indoor activity then this is a great option, and made even better by the fact that it’s free admission! You will be entertained for hours by a wonderful array of marble runs, animated animals, fairground mirrors and more. There are also lots of hidden amusements to discover, an interesting museum and a historic trail.

3.  Shaldon Wildlife Trust: What makes people happier than hanging out with some adorable animals? If you’re willing to drive a little further, then Autograph Estate Agents would recommend this little zoo, located about 9 miles away. It’s pretty small but this makes it up close and personal and it’s still home to a good selection of animals such as monkeys, meerkats, birds and small mammals. 4. Powderham Castle: Another short drive away, the castle is a beautiful place with lovely grounds and lots to see and do. You can take a tour with one of the enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides and hear all about the Courtenay family’s fascinating history.
